If Tepper were an animal, he'd be a monkey. If he were a food, he'd be a potato (nutritionally dense!). If he were a crayon, he'd be Shocking Turquoise (#00F5FF). But he's a human... And a cultivated eccentric (Vonnegut, 13). Born to an artist mom and dentist dad he works to solder the bridge between his heart and his brain.
He first fell in love with acting at age 2 when he climbed, uninvited, onstage during his sister's elementary school star turn. She left the stage to become a nurse and he stayed on, dedicating his life to studying humanity so as to broaden his perspective on the world, useful for his chameleonic approach to roles.
At the end of his freshman year of acting school, Tepper stayed up all night chatting with a friend about some artist (probably Agnes Martin) or some philosopher (probably John Stewart Mills). In the morning, he picked up his guitar and wrote his first song. It was terrible. But he got better. He released his first album, The Navy Blue Submarine, in 2015 and is delving deeper into his second.
If you meet Tepper, he's likely to ask you how your emotions are, because it's important to check in with those. Or he might offer you a potato, because he eats like 6-10 of them a day. And maybe, just maybe he'll ask how he can help, with whatever, because that's the point of it all, right?
